life from okonkwo's perspective

I am a brave warrior and distinguished man from the Ibo tribe. I started my wealth from nothing. My oldest son Nwoye disgraces me he has come to resemble my lazy and idle father whom i resent. My father Unloka is a disgrace. he sat all day playing his flute. My greatest fear is to resemble my father. thus i hate all that he loves and i vowed never to follow his lazy ways. I find it very hard to communicate with my family members as passion and love is a sign of weakness. You could say i rule my household with a heavy hand. I am not a man to be fooled or defeated
